To protect against being bitten through, this leader has a tip made of knottable steel silk. A size L MICRO SNAP is tied to the end of the steel silk. The transition between the nylon leader and the bite-proof tip is elegantly solved by a leader ring. This leader has proven itself hundreds of times over for pike. It is simply looped into the fly line.
