Vision PIKEMANIAC pike fly line
Pikemaniac is the line of choice for hardcore pike anglers. It is ideal for casting large and bulky flies all the way to the horizon. The Pikemaniac has a 12 meter long head that is extended with a 4 meter long handling zone.
The handling zone is a section with a thicker running line directly behind the head.
It makes it easier to handle a long line in the air and improves the durability of the line. The profile is a reverse compound taper with a strong, short front taper to cut through the wind. The Pikemaniac has a smooth and supple coating that remains memory free even in cold conditions. The low-stretch core helps you feel the casts and set the hook, and it transfers casting energy better than traditional cores.
The pre-made loops make it easier to attach the leader and backing. The line weight and density are printed behind the front loop.

Sinking Pikemaniac lines use our sliding density concept, where the density gradually increases towards the tip of the line. With the exception of the SloMo cord, which is a fully slow intermediate version. This means that the first density in the description is the density for the running line and the back of the head, from where the density gradually increases to the tip. For example, on the Fast Inter to Sink 3, the following line and the back of the head is a fast intermediate and the density increases from there to the tip of the Sink 3.
This prevents the line from sagging as it sinks and ensures better contact with the fly.
